“FIRST WEDNESDAY” COMPREHENSIVE PLAN PUBLIC WORKSHOP SCHEDULED

The next “First Wednesday” public workshop to discuss Langley’s Comprehensive Plan will be held on September 2, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. This meeting will feature a presentation by the City Engineer, providing a summary and status report on Langley’s Sewer Comprehensive Plan.

To date, the Planning Advisory Board (PAB) has reviewed the City’s Vision Statement, the Sustainability Element, and the Economic Development Element. They are currently reviewing the Land Use Element. Proposed changes and updates to each of these elements will be discussed.

The PAB’s September schedule includes reviews of the Capital Facilities and Utilities Elements. In addition, the PAB and the City Council have scheduled a joint work session on Thursday, September 17, 2015, to review and discuss the future of the City’s Urban Growth Area.
