Shoreline Advisory Committee Summary Report

The Shoreline Advisory Committee (SAC) met from August 2011 through February of 2012 and included a mix of stakeholders with an interest in Langley’s shoreline.  The purpose of the committee was to help facilitate public involvement and develop a vision, goals and policies to be used in the update to the city’s Shoreline Master Program which guides development within 200′ of the shoreline as well as any overwater development.  The SMP update is due to be completed by the end of 2012 and formal public hearings with the Planning Advisory Board (PAB) will be held later this year. A summary of the committee’s work is embodied in the report listed below.   In the meantime any public comments on the summary report may be sent to the planning department using the form below.
